The Warrior Sanctuary & Sera Leadership at Kokowiñaë Festival 2022

A Siekopai Celebration:

Regenerating Culture

The Warrior Sanctuary partnered with Jose Zambrano and the Sera Foundation to host a board of directors trip into the Amazon to meet with the Siekopai tribe to celebrate their annual ancestral wisdom day, the Kokowiñaë Festival. From this trip, we were able to build partnerships with our elder host, Gilberto, whose immense knowledge of the jungle will help to bring abundance to his tribe to preserve their way of life and protect against the oil companies (palm and crude) who intend to destroy the land and culture. We also establisheda partnership with the Sera Foundation whose youth are creating education programs to preserve their wisdom and continue their traditions of protecting the amazon.

The Siekopai once numbered over 30,000, but now only 1600 remain. This native tribe of wisdom keepers depends on the Amazon rain-forest for survival and its destruction puts them at risk of extinction. These bridges of cultural recognition and compassionate understanding will lead us to a world of resonance of harmony.
